I said it last year and I’ll say it again. I have found my people. Words cannot truly express how amazing the Hearts at Home folks are – and that’s saying a lot, considering the fact that I’m a writer.
You may remember from my post on March 14th that I was shaking in my booties, called by God but questioning his choice: me. I’ll summarize by saying this: God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good.
The entire conference went smoothly; my husband Ben was able to join me, and he was the cutest dang book table exhibitor in the place. J But I was most touched by the women who attended Hearts at Home. Fellow moms who traveled all over the country seeking girl time, good advice, and godly instruction.
In two days I taught six workshops to around 1,000 women. They laughed, cried, giggled, snorted, and wept through stories of God’s provision in the midst of parenting. And I love every last one of them for it.This morning, as I was reading through 1 Timothy, a particular verse popped out and summarized my experience at Hearts:
"I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service." (1 Timothy 1:12)Yep, that pretty much says it all. No need to improve on the Apostle Paul. Except to say . . . .
God, you ROCK!
We loved you too! Finding joy in motherhood from the land of "tile."
You know, I never really told you how much I LOVE tile . . . :-) bless you
for being so gracious with me. I am blessed by your encouragement.
