So I recently met a fellow author at the Mount Hermon Christian Writers Conference in California. Name's BJ Hamrick, and boy is she nervy . . . . . . she actually demanded a blog update from me last week. Demanded. And in no uncertain terms. Told you she was nervy.
Actually, I luv her, I luv her alot.
Because she's keeping me accountible to my dear blog, the entity that just keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the pile, no matter how honorable my intentions.
So, thanks to BJ, I'm back and happy to report that I had my first radio interview this morning touting my new book, Mama Said There'd Be Days Like This. Ted from WWJC in Duluth Minnesota and I had a lively discussion about motherhood, laughter, and strategies for moms trapped on the highway of motherhood with no exit ramp in site for miles. I'm up for a few more interviews in the next few weeks in honor of the all-important celebration of Motherhood. If you get a chance, tune in to the following programs or check out their websites for archives:
It's baseball season at the Doucette home (translation: 2 practices and 5-6 games PER WEEK), so I'll do my best to keep you posted on the continual saga of the Marketing/Publicity Buzz for Mama Said. If I don't show as regularly, picture me eating hot dogs and cheering my heart out for the North Snohomish Yankees Baseball team and the North Snohomish Thunder Softball team.
Pass the sunflower seeds.
I'm suing you for slander.
